About
Good solutions don’t protrude from the sheer amount of possibilities technology offers. And shitty workarounds, pursued for the lack of a nice solutions, don’t either.
Desired information doesn’t protrude from documentation necessarily, which seems to explain everything but the one thing we’re looking for. Sometimes because we’re looking in the wrong place. A deeper understanding of the topic hides the informational gap from the person who wrote the docs. Hence it’s somewhere else, or doesn’t even exist because of some other assumption we’ve made out of ignorance.
Some solutions or workarounds sometimes protrude from a Google search, oftentimes on private blogs, Medium, Stackoverflow or other websites… like this one, hopefully.
Doing such Google searches myself regularly – mostly when actually only solving an obstacle1 rather than the real problem at hand – this blog is has been created to document solutions and information, which didn’t protrude straight away, or at least not in a nice and easy to digest way.
Hopefully at some point someone else will end up on these pages, being happy to have found what they were looking for. And if not, this project serves as a public, but somewhat personal, notebook for myself.
